Author Terry Cremin visits the library to discuss his book, Nina’s Smile. Situated in 1966, on the South Side of Chicago, the neighborhood Jeffery Manor grew up in, could almost be described as bucolic. The events of the novel take place when Jeffrey was fourteen years old. Sure, it had its rough edges, but by and large, the white working-class community was a good place to grow up in the 1960s. He calls the novel an embellished memoir.
