Name: Waunakee Talks: Working Together to Prevent Suicide
    Date: September 18, 2018
    Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM CDT
    Event Description:

September is globally recognized as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and the 2018 theme is “Working Together to Prevent Suicide”. In support of this, we invite you to join us for an engaging conversation about suicide prevention, focusing on how we can all work together to increase protective factors, reduce stigma, and create a community that is understanding and supportive of mental health issues. Participants will leave with resources and information that can help them support friends, colleagues, peers, and loved ones.

Suicide is a leading cause of death nationwide, however it is preventable! By learning together, we can save lives.

If you or someone you know are having suicidal thoughts, please reach out for help. Asking for help is a sign of strength. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free, confidential, 24/7 support for people in distress and consultation for those concerned about someone else. Call 1-800-273-8255 or visit www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org for help.

    Participants will leave with resources.
