About the Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce
Serving the community since 1979
The Chamber of Commerce is a professional service organization for business. The Chamber provides a multitude of opportunities for its members to be active and volunteer in ways to enhance and grow the community. The governing and policy making responsibilities of the Chamber are vested in (12) Board of Directors, with an executive branch that includes a President, Treasurer, and a President Elect.
The Chamber employs an Executive Director who is responsible for carrying out all the tasks required in the daily operation of the Chamber of Commerce. The Executive Director supervises a part time administrative assistant and a member relations/marketing assistant.
The Chamber is a member driven, voluntary group organized to serve the business community and all the activities and events surrounding its members. The Chamber is a private, non-profit, taxpaying entity. It welcomes all types of businesses, individuals, and professionals to become part of a strong, central body with a common goal of improving business and providing opportunities for growth within the community.
Our Chamber membership is made up of people primarily concerned with enhancing the quality of life through dedicated community service. Our members have joined forces to build a strong central core of business owners and workers united in their efforts to accomplish goals set forth by our Chamber Board of Directors.
Typical goals include economic development efforts that help to increase business growth and job development, building a healthy marketplace, downtown revitalization, business and industrial park growth, and endorsing the free enterprise system by encouraging competition, fair play and buying local.

The Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce is a great investment for you to help get things done in our community. When unified voices are raised together we have the ability to stimulate positive growth and economic development. We work together with the Village of Waunakee and Town of Westport on local, state, and national issues influencing our area and surrounding Dane County on social responsibilities affecting homes, schools, quality of life issues, health, and to promote the free enterprise system.
As a business person working with the Chamber, your contributions become a community effort. In turn, you help to increase positive business growth, new infrastructure, neighborhoods, creation of a safe place to live, quality schools, and a multitude of other things that the Chamber works for to have a beneficial effect on you, your family and business.
